From Mike O'Dell, DOM of York Baptist Association
My associate, Mike Wallace, has done mission trips to the bahamas in the past and has maintained relationships with two pastors over the years. as the result of those relationships he has accepted the challenge of spearheading the relief effort from SC Baptists to the Grand Bahama island to help rebuild after the devastation left by Hurricane Dorian.. SC Baptists have been assigned to help the Caravel Zion Baptist Church and its community in Freeport.
Would you please ask your pastors to lead their churches to pray for the Bahamian people, take up a love offering for Bahamian Relief and send it to the SCBC and then form a team to go and spend a week in Freeport Grand Bahama to assist in the recovery effort.
The average cost per person is about $700. A passport is required. Lodging is sleeping in the church and fixing your own meals.
For more information, please contact Mike O'Dell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
