Locust Hill Baptist Church, Travelers Rest - Lead Pastor

Locust Hill Baptist Church, Travelers Rest, SC, is prayerfully seeking a full-time lead pastor to a congregation of approximately 300 people. Candidates must affirm the Bible as the infallible, inerrant Word of God and be committed to preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and teaching the whole counsel of Scripture.

Candidates must also provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care in all aspects of church life. The senior pastor will lead a continued mission of “Changed Lives, Changing Lives” by investing in children, youth, young adults, families and seniors as well as supporting missions and community-based events. He needs to be ordained by a Southern Baptist Church, a seminary graduate and have prior pastoral experience. He will foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment with a team of full-time and part-time staff, coaching, mentoring and pouring into his people to develop and strengthen capabilities toward church goals.

Our church is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Financial Secretary to join our

team. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth and accurate financial operations of our church.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records, including keeping books and reconciling accounts.

Write and issue checks for church expenses.

Record and manage members' tithes, offerings, and other contributions.

Prepare financial reports for church leadership as needed.

We use a church accounting package.

Qualifications:

Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial role.

Proficiency with accounting software.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.

Commitment to the mission and values of our church.

Position Details:

Part-time, approximately 10-15 hours per week.

Flexible schedule with occasional need for additional hours during peak times.
